Karina (creator, admin, writer and mainly responsible for the blog).

Karina is from Denmark and has been a fan since she saw Alan Doyle on a rerun of a songwriter’s program (from 2001) back in 2006, where he did the song Ordinary Day (along with The way you wanted me, The Ladder and Consequense free).
Unfortuneatly she has never seen the band live - but hopes to do so someday soon.

Like any true fan she owns every album and dvd the band ever made and even has a blog named after one of their songs and I’m a Rover just makes her wanna dance every time!

She has a hard time deciding which songs to call her favorites but Ordinary Day holds speciel meaning since it was the first she ever heard and so does Something Beautiful but for a very different and much more personal reason.
You can follow find her on twitter or read one of her other blogs:

Krista (admin, writer and mainly responsible for the twitter page)
Krista is the Newfoundland contingent of this trio, and a longtime fan of the band, after seeing Alan and Sean do a solo show in North Harbour, Newfoundland on may 25th 2002. From the first time she heard them open their mouths, she was hooked. She has seen 8 shows, with plans to attend a 9th in July!

She has every album the band has ever made, and some other songs besides. Several of her albums have been signed by band members, and she has had numerous encounters with Alan, and other encounters with every other member, the most recent being December, when she got to talk to Murray.

Picking a favourite song is hard, but she does have a few that she holds dear to her heart, including Boston and St. John's (it was the song that first captured her heart), Ordinary Day, and Straight to Hell, as it was written in her home town! She can be found on twitter too, as well as her own blog Rant and Roar

Sara (admin, writer and mainly responsible for the facebook page)

Sara is the American member of the trio, hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Washington State specifically.

She first saw Great Big Sea when they were opening for another of her favorite performers, Shawn Mullins,
way back in 1998, and due to volume control issues, didn't understand a word beyond "Donkey Riding". She blushes to confess that she thought they were singing about animals. Fortunately, however, she bought "Road Rage", the current CD on the way out and found out what they were REALLY singing about, becoming a devotee before she got home. They didn't come back until 2000, but when they did, she was there with bells on. And she got to meet Alan Doyle, Sean McCann, Bob Hallett, and Darrell Power (in a pub, naturally).

Since then she has been a true fan, going to every concert in her power (even traveling to Canada for the privilege), and has had several further encounters with the band members (even recently being one of the five giving them a decorated cake for their recently celebrated 18th "Bandiversary". She's really proud of that one!). She has also met Kris McFarlane and Murray Foster. And, like every truly devoted fan, she has purchased all the CDs since made, as well as both the DVDs, and Sean's solo albums. She has made many friends through the network of Great Big Sea fandom, and considers that a great blessing.

She has a hard time deciding (like any fan) which are her favorite songs, but "Walk On The Moon" will always hold a place in her heart, coming at a time when she needed inspiration. And she has always loved "Captain Kidd" and "Love Me Tonight". "Something Beautiful" recently became very special for reasons you will hear about later.

Unlike the other two admins, Sara does not have a blog, but you can find her on twitter
